"To each their own"
Take a look at our regime’s cadre, already focused on the potential outcomes of the American elections. They can’t hide their expectations of a possible renewal in the strained relations with the U.S. after the elections. The anticipation of Trump, who betrayed the liberal manifesto and failed to exemplify democracy even by the American presidential system’s standards, becoming president again is very much alive.
In plain terms, Trump’s political identity, which tramples on the boundaries of democracy with criminal implications, clearly overlaps with our single-man regime. During the current U.S. administration, hopes are high that the strained relations post-July 15 coup attempt, marked by the transformation of Fethullah Gülen into FETÖ, can be easily mended.
Yesterday, an American news piece titled “Justice After 43 Years” caught my attention. It reported that after long legal efforts, an American woman, imprisoned for 43 years, was finally proven innocent and released. Doesn’t this resemble the news that could emerge from our malfunctioning justice system daily?
The parallels between the failings of our judicial system and those of America’s are striking. When it comes to justice being annihilated and evaporated, we could compete with America, whether big or small. It’s almost impossible to determine the true champion of injustices and illegalities.
The fundamental difference remains that they are the "big America" while we are limited by our dreams of being the "little America." From the era when American imperialism shaped a unipolar world, much water has flowed under the bridges, and now the emphasis is on a multi-polar world order.
One unchanging reality is that in this multi-polar world, where even rich royal dynasties exist, the exploitation mechanisms still find the most effective tool in using the blindest religious beliefs to manipulate the masses of poor nations. Through tribes and sects, enslaving hundreds of thousands and millions remains the most effective method. The unlimited bloodshed in the name of exploitation is the sole valid instrument. Trying to understand who’s benefiting from whom is a complex puzzle.
