Uygur's presidential run: Targets Biden's Israel stance
Journalist Cenk Uygur says that this time Israel's propaganda is not resonating in the West as it used to. According to Uygur, young people in the US intensely support Palestine.
The U.S Journalist with Turkish heritage, who announced his candidacy for the presidency, criticized his rivals with his statements to Sarp Sinan Hacır from harici.com.tr. He claimed that Biden has zero chance of winning against Trump.
BIDEN LOST THE MUSLIMS
"Biden lost the Muslims," Uygur said, emphasizing that young people and Muslim Americans carried Biden to victory in 2020. "Biden lost Muslim voters with his Israel policies. Fortunately for him, Muslims make up a significant part of Michigan, one of the most critical states for the election. If you lose Michigan and the youth, you cannot win the election. Ironically, Joe Biden's political career will end with Israeli support."
Cenk Uygur said, "Israel's goal is not to wipe out Hamas, but to own Gaza. Israel is fighting with all the countries in the region in such an aggressive way. So, what will happen if America withdraws? Will Israel be able to fight this struggle on its own?" he added.
BIDEN IS IN ISRAEL’S POCKET
On the question of who in the US might withdraw this support, he said, "Biden is a politician who has spent his career in Israel's pocket. Therefore, he cannot be expected to make such a move. I hate Trump, but I have to admit that he is quite transparent. Trump does what he wants, whoever gives him the money, and he is not afraid to say so. The reason why Trump supported Israel in 2016 was because of Sheldon Adelson, a Jewish businessman who donated to his campaign. Now that Adelson is dead, there is no reason for Trump to continue the same policy. We also know that he doesn't like Netanyahu. He is getting money from the Saudis now. He will do whatever the Saudis tell him to do."
BRIBE IN U.S IS LEGAL
Cenk Uygur gave a harsh response to the question of whether Trump was elected in the 2016 elections due to Russian interference. Uygur said, "Russia interfered, but that is not why Trump was elected. Obviously, everyone is interfering in the US elections. We just talked about Israel, many organizations like APAC, Democratic Majority for Israel, etc. are pouring millions of dollars into US politicians for Israel's interests. Israel interferes in US elections much more than Russia. And they are not alone in this. The Saudis also funnel money through think tanks. To be honest, if you are not bribing US politicians, you don't know what you are doing."
ARMS COMPANIES CREATE WARS
Cenk Uygur says that US arms companies are making serious profits from the conflicts in Ukraine and Israel. According to Uygur, US politicians do what these companies want because of the bribes they receive legally. When oil prices skyrocket after the conflicts in the Middle East, energy companies multiply their wealth. Only arms companies profit from the continuation of conflicts. According to Uygur, politicians like Nancy Pelosi create problems where there are no problems for the profit of these companies.
I WILL CUT SUPPORT TO ISRAEL
Referring to his own presidential candidacy, Uygur said, "There are those who say that I cannot be president because I was not born in the US, but I am overcoming the obstacles in front of me. I managed to get my name on the voter rolls in Arkansas. Trump started with 1 percent in the polls and then climbed up. I have a weak opponent in Joe Biden. There is no reason why I can't do it. If elected, I will fulfill the demands of US voters, not those of the corporations that exploit the US. I will stop funding wars across the oceans. The Pentagon cannot explain where the budget it has received for 6 years has gone. If it can't explain where the $400 billion is, it won't get another budget. I will completely cut support for Israel. I will spend Americans' money for America."
