Santa-costumed police bust drug cartel in Peru
In Peru, police officers dressed in Santa Claus costumes raided a house and captured drug dealers. The officers, believing that the best way to secretly enter a dangerous neighborhood in the city of Lima was in Santa Claus costumes, took action.
The officers, in Santa Claus outfits and wielding a sledgehammer, raided the drug dealers' house. The drug dealers were surprised to see the police.
During the operation, hundreds of packages of marijuana and cocaine were seized.
Colonel Walter Palomino, head of the National Police's Green Fleet, said, "The strategy was successful. Santa Claus came for the bad reindeer."
This Halloween, police officers in Lima, dressed as horror film characters Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and the Bride of Chucky, Tiffany, took advantage of another time when disguises were common and carried out a drug raid.
