Netflix star John McAllister found dead in prison
John McAllister, star of Netflix's Unlocked: A Jail Experiment, has died at the age of 29.

John McAllister, star of Netflix's 'Unlocked: A Jail Experiment', was found unresponsive in his cell in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on June 2.
McAllister was pronounced dead after being rushed to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in the morning.
Authorities have denied any foul play or self-harm in McAllister's sudden death, which occurred just a month before his scheduled release.
'Unlocked: A Jail Experiment' released on Netflix in April, was about an innovative social experiment at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center in which inmates were given more freedom and duties.
McAllister, known as “Eastside,” won over viewers with his ability to find humor in challenging circumstances and his entrepreneurial spirit, even starting a tattoo business during the program.
At the time of his death, McAllister, who had 14 different offenses, including 10 drug-related offenses, burglary and illegal possession of firearms.
“His sudden death has devastated our family,” said Melissa Regan, McAllister's aunt.
