The TBMM convened an extraordinary session yesterday on the Palestinian issue, following an invitation from President Tayyip Erdoğan and a call from Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş. In his speech to the Assembly, Abbas stated, "My people are fighting a great struggle against the crimes of the occupying Israeli forces, clinging to their land and inalienable national rights despite being deprived of international justice."

Abbas questioned the silence of the international community, asking, "For God's sake, how can the international community remain silent in the face of the massacres committed daily by the Israeli occupying state? I thank the brotherly Turkish people for their sincere feelings and noble stance in supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause. It is impossible for our people to forget the Turkish people who became martyrs for Palestine and Jerusalem."

Reiterating his stance on the indivisibility of Gaza from a future Palestinian state, Abbas said, "Another state cannot be established in Gaza, and there can be no Palestinian state without Gaza. We will rebuild Gaza, and with the support of the free people of the world, we will construct our independent Palestinian state in the future. As for the murderers and war criminals, they will be held accountable for their crimes."

Abbas also emphasized that there would be no compromise on Jerusalem, stating, "Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem, our first qibla, are red lines for us and for you. Anyone who compromises even a single particle of Palestinian land is neither one of us nor one of you."

'We Will Compel the U.S.'

Abbas further remarked, "These days, they talk about 'post-war' scenarios. The Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem are part of a geographical unity governed by a single legitimate government that constitutes the independent State of Palestine. More than two-thirds of Gaza's infrastructure has been completely destroyed. We have no solution left, which is why I, along with all members of the Palestinian Authority, have decided to go to Gaza, and we will do it. I will go to Gaza, even if it costs us our lives. I also call on the leaders of all Arab and Islamic countries and United Nations officials to join us in this humanitarian mission. After that, I will go to our eternal capital, Jerusalem. European countries recognize Palestine. We will continue until we compel the U.S. to recognize the State of Palestine."
