Gaza humanitarian pause extended into Thursday
Efforts to secure a lasting cease-fire between Palestinians and Israelis in Gaza continue as the temporary humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip extends through Thursday.
Majid Al-Ansari, a spokesperson for Qatar's Foreign Ministry, confirmed the extension to Qatar's official news agency QNA, maintaining the same conditions as before.
This extension results from ongoing mediation by Qatar, Egypt, and the US, aiming to establish a permanent cease-fire in the region. Both the Palestinian Hamas group and the Israeli army acknowledged the extension, attributing it to the mediators' efforts. The Israeli army noted the extension's role in facilitating the release of more hostages.
