Armed attack on the US Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon
The US embassy in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, was attacked with an unknown shooter. Embassy issued a statement.

Shots were fired at the US embassy in the Lebanese capital Beirut at 08.34 local time.
In a statement released by Lebanese army, it was announced that the attacker, identified as a Syrian national, was shot and taken to hospital for treatment.
US EMBASSY ISSUED A STATEMENT
In a statement released by the US Embassy, it was stated that the embassy and its employees were safe.
Security sources reported that 1 member of the embassy's security team was wounded in the attack, the Lebanese army wounded one of the attackers in the abdomen and launched a search operation in the region to find the other attackers.
