10 wounded in mass shooting outside nightclub in New York City
At least 10 people were injured in a mass shooting outside a nightclub in New York City late Wednesday, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).
The shooting occurred near the Amazura nightclub in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, with NYPD saying it was not a terrorist attack.
Approximately 90 people were inside the nightclub, with 15 others waiting outside during the mass shooting, he said.
Four men walking down the street then opened fire, shooting more than 30 times at the group waiting outside before fleeing in a light-colored vehicle, he stated.
He added that the injured included six women and four men and that they were taken to nearby hospitals.
None of the injuries are life-threatening, and all victims are expected to recover, an NYPD official said.
"Those responsible for this crime will be apprehended and brought to justice," he added.
