"The Northern Lights, which were observed in many European countries due to a strong solar storm that hit the Earth, were first noticed in the Turkish city of Van, as well as in the province of Unye of the city of Ordu. The Northern Lights, which are very rarely seen on Earth, lit up the sky with red and green light," the newspaper writes.
The Northern Lights are a natural optical phenomenon in which the upper layer of the atmosphere glows due to the interaction of the planet's magnetosphere with charged particles of sunlight.
