Azerbaijan's foreign minister declares 'historic peak' in relations with Turkey
Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, on Thursday, hailed the current state of his country's relationship with Turkey as a "historic peak." This remark came during his meeting with Hakan Fidan, the Turkish Foreign Minister, in Baku.

"Our relations span multiple spheres including politics, economics, trade, military, defense, energy security, and investments, as well as various humanitarian areas," Bayramov stated at a press conference with Fidan. "It's clear that Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations are at an unprecedented high."
Bayramov referenced the 2021 Shusha Declaration, which elevated Baku-Ankara ties to a strategic partnership. He emphasized that Azerbaijan and Turkey exhibit a unique unity, unmatched globally.
He noted that 2023 has seen significant progress in Ankara-Baku relations.
The bond between Turkey and its Turkic neighbor Azerbaijan is historically strong, often encapsulated by the phrase, “One nation, two states.”
