Turkish U-19 National Team falls to France
Turkiye's U-19 National Football Team lost 2-1 to France in their opening match of the European Championship hosted by Northern Ireland.

According to the Turkish Football Federation, the national team, placed in Group B, faced France at Seaview Stadium in Belfast for their first match of the tournament.
Couldn't Maintain the Lead
The young team took an early lead with a goal by Yiğit Fidan in the 5th minute, finishing the first half 1-0 ahead. However, they couldn't maintain their advantage in the second half.
France came back with goals from Lucas Michal in the 65th minute and Jeremy Jacquet, from a penalty, in the 86th minute to secure a 2-1 victory.
In the other group match, Spain defeated Denmark 2-1.
The Turkish team will play their second Group B match of the U-19 European Championship against Spain on Friday, July 19.
