Serbia Technical Director Stojkovic stated that they are disappointed to be eliminated from EURO 2024
Serbia National Team Technical Director Dragan Stojkovic said that they were disappointed to be eliminated in the group stage of the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024).
Stojkovic made statements at the press conference held after their match with Denmark at the Munich Football Arena in Group C of the tournament hosted by Germany.
Stating that Denmark started the match with an advantage, the Serbian coach said, "Now we are going home. Of course it is a disappointment. Denmark went into the match knowing that a draw was good for them. All three teams had equal chances in the group. This is football. I think we should be proud of our team. I would like to thank all the fans who came here and supported us. They gave us a great support."
Stojkovic said that they could not score despite getting into positions and added, "Denmark is a very strong team. Despite this, the match was competitive. We had three or four positions. A goal would have changed everything. However, we could not achieve this."
Serbia finished last in Group C of EURO 2024 with England, Denmark and Slovenia with 2 points and bid farewell to the tournament.
