Saudi Arabia to host Turkish Super Cup: Fenerbahce vs. Galatasaray
The annual Turkish Super Cup match will feature a clash between Galatasaray, the defending Turkish Super Lig champions, and Fenerbahce, last season's Turkish Cup winners, on Friday.
This Istanbul derby is set to begin at 1745 GMT at Riyadh's Al-Awwal Park (King Saud University Stadium), with Abdulkadir Bitigen officiating.
Al-Awwal Park, the home stadium of Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr football club, can accommodate 25,000 spectators.
Galatasaray Leads Head-to-Head Record Against Fenerbahce
In their last 10 encounters, Galatasaray has secured four wins compared to Fenerbahce's two, with four matches ending in draws. Galatasaray also boasts a higher goal count, scoring 12 goals to Fenerbahce's six.
The most recent Super Lig match between the two teams resulted in a goalless draw on Sunday.
Galatasaray will be without two key players, Davinson Sanchez and Sergio Oliveira, due to injuries. Mauro Icardi has been a standout performer for the Lions this season, contributing 17 goals and six assists.
For Fenerbahce, Edin Dzeko has been a significant force, scoring 16 goals and providing seven assists.
