Following Erik ten Hag's contract renewal, Manchester United has expanded its coaching staff ahead of the new season.
The club confirmed that former Dutch star Ruud van Nistelrooy, who transitioned to coaching after retiring from professional football, has been appointed as the assistant manager.
Van Nistelrooy, 48, took to the field with the team for the first time today.
During his playing career at Manchester United, van Nistelrooy made 219 appearances, scoring 150 goals and providing 30 assists.
