Istanbulspor faces 3-0 forfeit loss and point deduction for on-field protest
The Turkish Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) announced a 3-0 forfeit defeat for Istanbulspor on Saturday, coupled with a three-point deduction.

The decision followed an incident in a recent Trendyol Super Lig match against Trabzonspor. Istanbulspor President Ecmel Faik Sarialioglu, who led the team's withdrawal from the field in protest against a referee's decision, has received a 90-day suspension. Additionally, the PFDK imposed a 780,000 Turkish Lira ($26,900) fine for violating accreditation instructions and displaying unsportsmanlike conduct.
The PFDK also noted that Istanbulspor would serve a one-game suspension for the next home match due to inappropriate behavior from some fans. The incident in question occurred during the Tuesday match against Trabzonspor, where Istanbulspor, trailing 2-1, left the pitch under Sarialioglu's direction to protest an officiating decision.
