Galatasaray's disappointing 5-2 defeat in friendly
Galatasaray, currently in Austria for pre-season training, lost their second friendly match against Germany's Fortuna Düsseldorf with a score of 5-2.
Galatasaray faced Bundesliga 2 team Fortuna Düsseldorf in a friendly match at Raiffeisen Arena. The match ended in a 5-2 defeat for Galatasaray.
Fortuna Düsseldorf's goals came from Iyoha in the 22nd minute, Niemiec in the 25th minute, Schmidt in the 64th minute, Zimmermann in the 73rd minute, and Affo in the 83rd minute.
SECOND LOSS IN A ROW
Galatasaray's goals were scored by Kerem Demirbay in the 35th minute and Dries Mertens in the 60th minute.
Previously, Galatasaray also lost their first friendly match in Austria against LASK with a score of 3-2. This latest defeat marks their second consecutive loss in pre-season friendlies.
Galatasaray's next friendly match is scheduled for July 18 against Trencin.
