From the runway to the football field: Beauty Queen's new team revealed!

Living in Istanbul, Nevide Çiçek began playing football with her male friends on the school field during her middle school years. She threw herself into the sport at a young age, starting her football journey with Güzeltepe Doğu Gençlik ve Spor. While she played professional football for a time, she also ventured into modeling and acting.

In 2021, Nevide represented Turkey at the Miss Tourism Universe competition in Lebanon, where she won her first crown. She was later crowned beauty queen at The Queen Eurasia Beauty Pageant in 2022. Most recently, she placed third among contestants from 25 countries at the Miss Eurasia competition in Moscow, Russia.

Despite her success in modeling and acting, Nevide could not abandon her passion for football. Looking to bring her success from the runway to the football field, she has transferred to the 1207 Antalyaspor Women's Football Team for the new season. The young footballer is eagerly awaiting the day she can step onto the field with her team, hoping for a successful season.

Position: Defense

Speaking about her deep-rooted passion for football, Nevide Çiçek shared, "I started playing matches with my friends in middle school. Later, with the support of my coaches, I threw myself onto the field. I was selected for the women's football team in middle school and played in the defense position. At the same time, I started modeling. My coaches are very understanding about this. They are supportive when I can't attend training sessions and prepare special programs for extra training afterward. I began my modeling career by representing Turkey at a competition in Lebanon, where I won my crown. I later placed third out of 25 countries in a competition held in Russia."

"I Am a Person in Love with Football"

Nevide noted that juggling both football and modeling might seem unusual to some, saying, "Balancing football and modeling is challenging, but I receive very positive feedback. Football has always been my priority. I don't have a specific role model, but I would like to be a player my coach holds up as an example. I am very happy with my team and have no plans to leave. We aim to take our team to the highest levels this season. Our team is strong, and our coaches are excellent. I will show my love for football this season too. I am a person in love with football," she added.
