Fenerbahce falls 3-2 to Olympiacos in Europa Conference League quarterfinal
Fenerbahce faced a 3-2 defeat against Olympiacos in the first leg of the Europa Conference League quarterfinal on Thursday. The match took place at Stadio Georgios Karaiskakis in Piraeus, where the home team quickly established dominance.

Kostas Fortounis opened the scoring for Olympiacos in the eighth minute, and Stevan Jovetic expanded the lead to 2-0 with his goal in the 32nd minute. The margin widened further when Chiquinho scored from close range, bringing the score to 3-0 in the 57th minute.
Fenerbahce's comeback began in the 67th minute when they were awarded a penalty. Panagiotis Retsos's foul on Osayi-Samuel in the box set up Dusan Tadic, who converted the penalty by striking into the bottom-right corner a minute later. The Istanbul club reduced the deficit further when Irfan Can Kahveci netted a close-range goal in the 74th minute.
Despite Fenerbahce's efforts to level the score, the match concluded with a 3-2 victory for Olympiacos.
