Defending Olympic Champion Busenaz Sürmeneli eliminated early from Paris 2024
Defending Olympic champion Busenaz Sürmeneli, the national boxer, was defeated by Thailand's Janjaem Suwannapheng in the quarterfinals of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, ending her journey in the tournament.
In the women's 66 kg boxing quarterfinals held at North Paris Arena in the French capital, Busenaz Sürmeneli lost 4-1 to Janjaem Suwannapheng, thus losing her chance for a medal.
Busenaz's Early Exit
Busenaz Sürmeneli, who had high hopes for another Olympic medal, faced a tough opponent in Suwannapheng and was unable to secure a victory. Despite her efforts, she was eliminated from the competition, marking an early end to her campaign at Paris 2024.
