Chelsea officially announces Caleb Wiley transfer
English Premier League club Chelsea has announced the signing of American player Caleb Wiley from Atlanta United.
Under the management of new head coach Enzo Maresca, Chelsea confirmed their latest acquisition.
In the club's statement, it was mentioned that Wiley, who played for MLS team Atlanta United, has signed a six-year contract with an option for an additional year.
Included in the Paris 2024 Squad
The 19-year-old left-back is also part of the United States National Team's squad for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
This season, the young player appeared in 23 matches for Atlanta United, recording 1 goal and 2 assists. Reports in the English media suggest that Chelsea paid €10 million for the transfer.
Prior to this, Chelsea had already announced the signings of Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Renato Veiga, Omari Kellyman, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ahead of the new season.
