Barcelona drops Dani Alves from legends list
Spanish La Liga team Barcelona has removed former player Dani Alves, who was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for sexual assault, from its list of club legends.
Barcelona has made a decisive move by taking Dani Alves off its legends list. The former player, who donned the Barcelona jersey, received a 4.5-year prison sentence due to sexual assault charges.
Following the official announcement of the verdict, Barcelona acted swiftly to remove Alves from the group of 102 former players known as the 'Barcelona legends list,' as reported by Diario Sport.
BARCELONA CAREER
Dani Alves played for Barcelona from 2008 to 2016 and then again during the 2021-2022 season. During his tenure at the Catalan club, Alves appeared in 408 matches, scoring 22 goals and providing 105 assists, and celebrated winning 23 trophies with the team.
