Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu won a bronze medal in the women's 68 kg wrestling category at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, defeating North Korean Sol Gum Pak.
At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, national wrestler Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu secured a bronze medal.
During the competitions held at the Champ de Mars Arena, Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu earned the right to compete in the repechage after losing to American Amit Elor in the first round, as Elor advanced to the final.
In the repechage, Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu first defeated Polish wrestler Viktorya Choluj and then faced North Korean Sol Gum Pak for the bronze medal.
Defeating her opponent 4-2, Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu claimed the bronze medal.
TURKIYE'S THIRD MEDAL
Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu's victory marks Turkiye's third medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Previously, Turkiye had won a silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event with Yusuf Dikeç and Şevval İlayda Tarhan, and a bronze medal in men's team archery with Mete Gazoz, Muhammed Abdullah Yıldırmış, and Ulaş Berkim Tümer.
