In an interview with Fatih Altaylı, Alperen addressed the long-standing debate about the ease of scoring in the NBA compared to Europe.

Alperen explained that European players often assume scoring in the NBA is easier because they see American stars like LeBron James scoring 50 points. However, he noted that factors like game tempo and fast-break opportunities make scoring in the NBA more challenging than it appears:

"Before going, you see LeBron scoring 50, and even players you don't know scoring 50. You think it's easier to score there. But once you go, you realize it's not that simple.

I used to say, 'It's harder in Europe, easier in America.' But when you go there, you see that's not the case. The court in the U.S. is a bit bigger. Here, there are more set plays. There, it's more about one-on-one and fast breaks."

NBA stars like Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic have previously mentioned that scoring in Europe is more difficult due to stricter offensive and defensive rules compared to the NBA.
