Ephesus wins the award for the "best museum in the world"

The Ephesus Experience Museum in the ancient city of Ephesus in Selçuk, Izmir, a UNESCO world heritage site, was awarded the "Best Museum" prize at the Mondo-Dr Awards, one of the world's most distinguished awards. On June 12, at the award ceremony held in Las Vegas, the Ephesus Experience Museum, which left its competitors behind in its field, received the first prize.

SURPASSED ITS STRONG COMPETITORS

Efes Experience Museum, one of the first museums in the world to combine 'experienced museology' with historical narrative, has qualified for the top four in the Best Museum category, leaving behind museums such as Eternal Mucha in Paris and Carl Nielsen and Regan Vest in Denmark. Competing in the finals with Aramco VIP Visitor Center in Riyadh, India in Fashion in India and Dome Des Invalides in Paris, Efes Experience Museum left its competitors behind and won the first place in the Museums Category at the Mondo-Dr 2024 Awards. Last year, the Museum of the Future in Dubai won first place in the same category.

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said on his social media account that the Ephesus Experience Museum "left the world's most distinguished museums behind" and thanked everyone who contributed.

The Experience Museum in the Ancient City of Ephesus in Selçuk district of Izmir was opened in October 2023, and after a short period of renovation for 2024, it reopened its doors to visitors on February 15.
