What is the most important problem of the Turkish economy?
According to Asal Research's survey, 26.7 percent of the respondents to the question “What is the most important problem of the Turkish economy?” said “The increase in food prices”. The increase in food prices was followed by “Increase in rent and housing prices”, “High electricity, natural gas and water prices”, “High fuel prices” and “High inflation”.

Asal Research shared the results of its survey titled “Problems of the Economy”.
The survey was conducted with 2 thousand people in 26 provinces between May 24-28. In the survey, the participants were asked, “What do you think is the most important problem of the Turkish economy right now?”
“The increase in the prices of food products” ranked first with 26.7 points.
“Increase in rent and housing prices”, “High prices of electricity, natural gas and water”, “High prices of fuel oil”, “High inflation” and “Unemployment” were the options given after “Increase in prices of food products”.
The answers given by the participants in the survey are as follows:
Increase in food prices: 26.7 percent
Increase in rent and housing prices: 11.0 percent
High electricity, natural gas and water prices: 8.1 percent
High fuel prices: 7.2 percent
High inflation 7.0 percent
Unemployment: 5.5 percent
Injustice: 5.4 percent
High interest rates: 4.4 percent
Lack of education: 4.0 percent
High tax rates: 3.1 percent
Social inequality: 2.5 percent
Current account deficit: 1.7 percent
Public waste: 1.3 percent
Loss of moral values: 1.0 percent
Everything is a problem: 5.2 percent
No problem: 1.1 percent
No opinion: 2.6 percent
