Turkish stock exchange starts Friday on a positive note
Turkey's benchmark stock index began Friday at 7,570.05 points, marking a 0.29% increase, or a rise of 22.21 points, from its previous close.

The Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index had closed up 1.83% at 7,547.84 points on Thursday, with a daily transaction volume of 74 billion Turkish liras (approximately $2.47 billion).
As of 9:55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 29.8411. Meanwhile, the euro/lira exchange rate was at 32.6060, and the British pound was trading at 37.8455 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was trading at around $78.05 per barrel. The price of gold per ounce reached $2,048.85.
