Turkish stock exchange flat at open
BIST 100 index drops around 2.4 points at opening session
Türkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened Thursday at 10,989.16 points, marking a decrease of 0.02% or 2.4 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, the BIST 100 index fell by 0.88% to a record closing level of 10,991.57 points, with a daily transaction volume of 101 billion Turkish liras ($3.07 billion).
As of 10.10 a.m. (0725GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.9850. The EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.8350, while the GBP/TRY rate was 42.4830.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,367.78, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $80.30 per barrel.
