Minister Bolat will attend the G7 Trade Ministers Meeting in Italy
Trade Minister Ömer Bolat will travel to Italy on Tuesday, July 16th to attend the G7 Trade Ministers Meeting.

According to the information obtained by the AA correspondent, the meeting, which will be held in Italy's Villa San Giovanni, is expected to be attended by the trade ministers of India, New Zealand, Argentina, Brazil, South Korea and Vietnam, senior government officials, the directors general of the World Trade Organization and the OECD, and the representatives of the business umbrella organization (B7) of the G7 countries (USA, Germany, UK, France, Italy, Japan, Canada) and the European Union, as well as Turkiye.
At the meeting, which will bring together the summit of trade diplomacy in the global conjuncture, where the problems in supply chains, supply shortages and the effects of inflationary pressures have been increasingly experienced in recent years, the main problems and solutions encountered in world trade, cooperation for the diversification of supply chains, multilateral trade system reform, unfair competition practices and risks in global trade will be discussed with the theme of "resilience of global supply chains".
Minister Bolat is also expected to hold talks with his counterparts from participating countries, including Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan and Canada, as well as with the heads of international organizations on bilateral trade and economic relations and issues on the agenda of the multilateral trading system.
The G7 forum, which brings together the world's seven major industrialized economies, is among the most important international consultation platforms that have been shaping the issues on the agenda of the world economy since 1973.
Representing approximately 50 percent of the global economy, the G7 economies are also among Turkiye's most important trading partners. This year's G7 Leaders Summit, which was held on June 13-15, was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan upon the invitation of host Italy.
