Thief breaks into Presidential Palace in Cameroon

A thief reportedly broke into the Presidential Palace, Palais d'Etoudi, in Cameroon last month.

According to national media citing presidential sources, the break-in occurred on the night of June 15-16, targeting the office of Samuel Mvondo Ayolo, Civil Cabinet Director to President Paul Biya.

Several broken windows were discovered at multiple locations during the incident.

The thief stole some documents and a sum of money before fleeing from Palais d'Etoudi.

The fact that the security cameras at the palace were not operational at the time of the theft has sparked controversy in the country.

No official statement has been made regarding the incident.
