Man shot in Dublin restaurant; another injured
A man in his 20s was killed and another man seriously injured in a shooting at Browne's Steakhouse on Main Street, Blanchardstown, Dublin, around 20:00 local time.

The second victim, in his 40s, is being treated for gunshot wounds and is in critical condition, according to the Gardaí (Irish police). Police have sealed off the scene for technical analysis, and the Office of the State Pathologist is involved in the investigation. The nearby road has been closed.
Detectives suspect the shooting is gang-related, possibly linked to an ongoing feud involving drugs and guns.
Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister) Leo Varadkar expressed shock at the news of the attack. On X, formerly known as Twitter, Varadkar noted his familiarity with the restaurant, which he has visited many times.
Irish Justice Minister Helen McEntee condemned the shooting, highlighting the tragedy of such violence during the Christmas season. "This viciousness has resulted in unimaginable human suffering. The perpetuation of such violence as families gather is especially heinous," she said.
