Israeli soldiers seek psychological aid following Hamas operation

Hamas' armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched the operation against Israel on October 7th. Since then, the Israeli military reports that 2,000 soldiers have received psychological support, with 200 seeking aid following ground operations.

Israeli state television KAN reports that 75-80% of these soldiers have returned to their units. Those who required psychological support experienced situations like gunfire, combat, injuries, witnessing dangerous incidents, or participating in hazardous operations, all affecting their performance.

Israeli Military's response and casualties

Furthermore, since October 7th, the Israeli military has established a telephone call center staffed with reserve psychologists and psychiatrists, as well as two psychological centers in the south of the country. In related news, Channel 12 of Israel reported that over 1,200 military personnel have been disabled due to conflicts with Palestinians since the operation began.
