The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced on its official X account that a rocket strike on a football field in Majdal Shams, located in northern Israel's Golan Heights, killed 11 people, including children. According to Israel's emergency medical service, Magen David Adom, approximately 30 people were injured in the attack.

Israeli sources, based on their intelligence and assessments, stated that the attack was carried out by Hezbollah in Lebanon.

However, Hezbollah has strongly denied any involvement in the Majdal Shams attack, emphasizing that they had no connection to the incident.

Israeli Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari noted that they are preparing a response to Hezbollah, highlighting that this attack is the deadliest on Israeli civilians since October 7.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office also announced that Prime Minister Netanyahu has decided to expedite his return from Washington, D.C.
