Turkish minister comforts injured Gazans in Cairo
Turkey's Health Minister, Fahrettin Koca, visited hospitals in Egypt on Wednesday to inquire about individuals injured in Israel's attacks on Gaza.
cumhuriyet.com.trKoca, who arrived in Cairo, Egypt, to discuss the coordination of health aid sent to Gaza and the transfer of cancer patients from Gaza to Turkey, met with Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
Accompanied by his Egyptian counterpart, Koca also visited the Nasr Cancer Institute Hospital in Cairo, where he met with patients, including children, who had been transferred from Gaza to Cairo.
The injured and affected Palestinians expressed their gratitude to the Turkish minister for his condolences and support.
Turkey has delivered tons of aid equipment, including medicines, medical devices, and ambulances, to the people of Gaza. The humanitarian situation in Gaza has become dire due to Israeli bombings since the attack initiated by Hamas on October 7.
As the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip entered its 40th day, the latest figures from Palestinian authorities indicate that at least 11,500 Palestinians have been killed, including over 7,900 women and children, and nearly 30,000 others have been injured.
