UEFA assigns Turkish referees to EURO 2024!

Turkish FIFA-listed referee Halil Umut Meler has been appointed to officiate the England-Slovakia match in the Round of 16 at EURO 2024.

FIFA-listed referee Halil Umut Meler and his team have been assigned to their third match at the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024).

After officiating the Belgium-Slovakia match in Group E and the Poland-Austria match in Group D, Meler will referee the England-Slovakia Round of 16 match on Sunday, June 30, at 19:00 local time.

Slovenian Fourth Official

The match, which will take place at Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, will see Meler assisted by Mustafa Emre Eyisoy and Kerem Ersoy. The fourth official will be Rade Obrenovic from the Slovenian Football Federation.

For the match, Marco Fritz from the German Football Association will serve as the VAR, with Christian Dingert as the AVAR. Tomasz Kwiatkowski from the Polish Football Association will be the VAR supervisor, and Jure Praprotnik from the Slovenian Football Federation will be the reserve assistant referee.
