NASA astronaut Andreas Mogensen recently captured remarkable images of Türkiye's Nemrut Caldera from space.
cumhuriyet.com.trOne striking photo features the Nemrut Crater Lake alongside Tatvan district and Lake Van.
The caldera, a crater-like formation created by the now-dormant Nemrut volcano at 2,250 meters (7,381 feet), is renowned for its contrasting hot and cold lakes, ice cave, steam chimney, lava ruins, rich endemic vegetation, and biodiversity.
Tatvan District Governor Remzi Demir highlighted the caldera's allure, noting that it attracts thousands of tourists annually. He expressed joy at seeing its beauty captured from space.
