DGA Awards 2024: Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' leads with top directorial prize

The Directors Guild of America (DGA) celebrated its 76th annual awards at the Beverly Hilton. While Christopher Nolan took home the evening's top prize for "Oppenheimer", Celine Song won the award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement for "Past Lives".

Historically, the DGA has been a strong predictor of Oscar success, missing the Best Director award only eight times in 75 years. Last year, the top award went to Daniels for "Everything Everywhere All at Once", and a month later, the duo became the third pair to win the Academy Award.
