Turkiye reaches record levels of wind power output
Turkiye's wind-based electricity generation reached an all-time high of 228,604 megawatt-hours yesterday.
cumhuriyet.com.trAccording to the data from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Company, 1 million 16 thousand 62 megawatt-hours of electricity was generated and 1 million 25 thousand 573 megawatt-hours of electricity was consumed in Turkiye on a daily basis yesterday.
Yesterday, the highest electricity consumption was realized at 15.00 with 47 thousand 573 megawatt hours and the lowest consumption was realized at 06.00 with 35 thousand 233 megawatt hours.
On a daily basis, 1 million 16 thousand 62 megawatt hours of electricity was generated yesterday, while consumption was recorded as 1 million 25 thousand 573 megawatt hours.
Wind power turbines took the brunt in production with a share of 22.5 percent. This was followed by imported coal with 20.2 percent and lignite power plants with 13.7 percent.
Turkiye's previous top record for wind generated power was 218 thousand megawatt-hours on January 7.
Turkey exported 6,981 megawatt hours of electricity and imported 16,492 megawatt hours of electricity yesterday.
