Turkish stock exchange rises at Friday's opening
The Turkish stock market's benchmark index saw a significant increase at the start of trading on Friday, opening at 9,275.88 points. This marks a rise of 1.61%, or 146.86 points, from its previous close.
cumhuriyet.com.trOn Thursday, the Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index experienced a 2.05% surge, closing at 9,129.02 points. The trading volume for the day reached 53 billion liras ($1.65 billion).
In currency markets, the US dollar to Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 31.8880 by 10:01 a.m. local time (0701GMT). The euro was exchanging for 34.7031 liras, and the British pound was trading at 40.4063 liras.
In commodities, Brent crude oil was priced at approximately $91.15 per barrel at the time of reporting. Meanwhile, gold was trading at $2,198.25 an ounce.
