Chipmaker TSMC's revenues soar by 28% to $38.7B in H1

Taiwan-based global semiconductor giant's revenue also up by 33% year-on-year in June

Taiwan-based global semiconductor giant Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co's (TSMC) revenues increased by 28% in the first half of 2024 on a yearly basis.

According to the firm's statement on Wednesday, the firm's revenues totaled 1.26 trillion New Taiwanese dollar ($38.66 billion), up from 989.47 billion New Taiwanese dollar ($30.36 billion) in the Jan-June period 2023.

In June alone, the firm's revenues soared by 32.9% on a yearly basis to 207.86 billion New Taiwanese dollar ($6.4 billion).

Among TSMC's customers, there are tech giants, including Apple and Nvidia.

The price of the firm's shares rose around 85% during the last one year, from $100 to around $185.
